Workshops for Therapists

I help therapists provide better therapy to quiet anxious clients. As a quiet anxious person myself and a therapist who specializes in this area I have learned what helps therapy be successful for these clients.

A common struggle therapists have with quieter clients is that after about 20 minutes into the session all the questions have been asked and answered and then there is uncomfortable silence. This feels good for no one.

By learning more about what it means to be highly sensitive and the struggles they have, will help the therapist create sessions of deeper conversations and more healing.

Topics I speak on for Therapists:

  • The Highly Sensitive Therapist
  • How to work with Highly Sensitive Clients

How to overcome friendship struggles as a highly sensitive woman

This might be one of the hardest things for quiet and sensitive people to talk about. It’s quite common for us to struggle in friendships from an early age and can end up feeling so much shame and embarrassment with this. The more we have struggled, the harder it can be to reach out.

This workshop will offer:

  • A deeper understanding as to why we have struggled
  • Exploring the relationship between how we feel about ourselves and making and keeping friends
  • How to manage social anxiety when with others
  • How to know if someone is wanting to become your friend and how to help this happen
  • How to spot and avoid toxic friendships
  • Date: June 18, 7-8:30pm

With an established private practice I have found so much joy in this work. As my confidence has grown, I have been able to incorporate my strong intuition as well my formal education which offers my clients a much more tailored experience for what they are struggling with. For the people that fit well with how I work, a cookie cutter approach to counseling is not what they are seeking. I never offer common sense advice because if that was the true solution, people wouldn’t need to reach out for help. I help my clients explore deeper unresolved issues that are the barriers to moving past the ways they are struggling.
